'The after effects' - The current five-match T20 series between West Indies and India was won by the Caribbean team by a margin of 3-2. The first two games of the series were won by the West Indies, but India bounced back to win the following two games. In the series' final T20 match, the West Indies defeated India by eight wickets.

In the fifth and last T20 match, the Australia team was chasing a score of 166 runs. For the West Indies, Nicholas Pooran played an impactful inning of 47 runs in 35 balls. During this innings, Pooran was hit on the stomach by a ball from Arshdeep Singh. Also, in the fifth over, Pooran's arm came in front of Brandon King's powerful stroke off Kuldeep Yadav, due to which the ball hit him directly.

When the West Indies team started chasing the target of 166 runs, they lost their first wicket at the score of 12. After this, Nicholas Pooran and Brandon King put together a century partnership for the second wicket to turn the game completely in their favour. Pooran scored 47 runs in 35 balls, including 1 four and 4 sixes, including 2 back-to-back sixes against Hardik.
