Asia Cup 2022: The Asia Cup 2022 is all set to begin with a lot of pomp and shown inside the next month. The tournament has always been a really competitive one and never disappoints its watchers in terms of providing top-notch cricketing actions.
The tournament has been rated as one of the top levels of cricketing competitions for it provides the Asian cricketing nations with an opportunity to battle it out amongst themselves and find out who is the best in Asia. This edition of the tournament that is supposedly going to begin in the latter half of August too is going to be one full of suspense.

Sri Lanka?
Sri Lanka has undoubtedly been one of the most improved cricketing nations all across the globe in the recent past. The newly appointed captain, Dasun Shanaka has achieved a handful of good results in terms of taking the team forward as a unit.
The Lankan team however hasn't been able to achieve the desired results in any of the T20I series that it has played so far this year. The team had to face disappointment in form of a 1-3 defeat to Australia in a 5-match T20I series which was followed by another major humiliation in hands of India who demolished them 3-0.
The team lost its third consecutive series this year when it failed to resist the Aussies once again this time in their own backyard and lost 1-2. The team has to work out their plans properly in order to turn things around in the Asia Cup 2022 which is to begin soon.?

Pakistan was always been a strong contender to lift the trophy in no matter whatever tournament they've taken part in so far in their history. The team has displayed some quality performances in white ball cricket in the recent past. Their most recent outings in the T20I format include a 3-wicket loss to Australia in a one-off T20I match at the Gaddafi stadium back in April.
Prior to that, the team had achieved handsome clean sweeps over Bangladesh and West Indies in November and December last year respectively. Lack of match practice in the shortest format of the game in the past few months shall be a big challenge which the players will have to see through during the Asia Cup.
The fact that the team hasn't played against quality teams for quite some time too will be an issue to overcome from. The team though looks strong in the presence of quality players like Babar Azam, Mohammed Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi and others, who shall have a lot of tasks to accomplish in the Asia Cup 2022 that lies ahead.

India who're the defending champions of the Asia Cup will look to continue their sheer dominance in the tournament with another victory this year. The team has looked absolutely flawless in terms of maintaining fabulous form in white ball cricket for a while now.
The men in blue started their year with a handsome 3-0 series win over Sri Lanka which was followed by the IPL. The players got ample practice in match situations throughout the tournament. The team then played the Proteas in their own backyard in a 5 match series that ended at 2-2.
Their most recent achievement includes a famous 2-1 win over England in England. The team undoubtedly looks the strongest of all other sides in the Asia Cup 2022 this year and is most probably going to reconquer the trophy under their newly appointed captain, Rohit Sharma. India re undoubtedly the favourites to win Asia Cup 2022.
