Top 4 Retained Players for SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in IPL 2022 Mega Auction.

IPL 2022 Mega Auction: Following David Warner?s quit, SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) is likely to see their spin king Rashid Khan parting ways with the franchise in the coming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).?

For the unversed, all the eight existing franchises are given a deadline to submit their final four retention list by November 30th to the BCCI.

It has been learnt that there has been a strong bargain going on between SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan. The cricketer doesn?t want to be the second choice retention for SRH, however, the franchise want?s Kane Williamson as their primary retention for the upcoming season.

Khan, who is arguably one of the best spinners in T20s, wants to get the first choice retention salary, which is certainly not what SRH is thinking at the moment. Kiwi cricketer Kane Williamson is on SRH?s privilege list to get first choice retention.

The fallout between Rashid Khan and SRH management could possibly lead the former to take auction's way and have some fun seeing franchises indulging in the bidding war to acquire his services.

?Sunrisers Hyderabad could end up with only one retention in Williamson, who is set to continue as their captain as well. The second retention could be Rashid but it?s learnt that a hard bargain is ongoing between the two parties,? reported Cricbuzz.

If the report turns out to be true, Rashid Khan will cause a serious bidding war between many franchises. He will end up involving probably six or seven teams in a race to win his services.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) it won?t be anything short of digging their own grave if they somehow leave out Rashid Khan to the auction. Surely, they won?t be able to get him back from the auction and even if they buy him, he will be far more expensive than his retention price.

It is noteworthy, star batsman David Warner has already indicated his arrival at the IPL 2022 auction following a bitter treatment from SRH management during the recently concluded season of the IPL. Warner was firstly sacked from the captaincy and later was removed from the playing11 making his worst ever IPL season.
