Wankhede Stadium is a cricket stadium located in the city of Mumbai, India. It was established in 1974 and is owned by the Mumbai Cricket Association. The stadium has a seating capacity of around 33,000 people and has been the home ground of the Mumbai Indians team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since the league's inception in 2008.
The stadium has hosted several high-profile cricket matches, including the 2011 Cricket World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka, which India won. It has also hosted numerous domestic and international matches featuring the Indian cricket team and various other domestic teams.
