Washington Sundar ruled out of INDvsWI T20I series, Kuldeep Yadav roped in.
INDvsWI: Ahead of the start of three matches T20I series against West Indies, team India has sustained a major disappointment, as bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar has been ruled out of the series after sustaining a hamstring injury. As per the reports, Sundar has injured himself with a Grade 1 hamstring injury.
Team India registered a comprehensive whitewash in the three matches ODI series against West Indies. Despite posting a low total, the Indian side managed to pull themselves into the contest with their exceptional bowling. India will be up against West Indies for the three matches T20I series, starting February 16 in Kolkata?s Eden Gardens.
?Washington Sundar ruled out of @Paytm #INDvWI T20I series. The #TeamIndia all-rounder suffered a left hamstring muscle strain during fielding in the third ODI against the West Indies played at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday,? wrote BCCI?s social media handle.

Washington Sundar will require a couple of weeks to regain his fitness and will head to National Cricket Academy (NCA) Bangalore to achieve that.?He is expected to make a comeback during the upcoming Tata IPL 2022, starting in the last week of March.
It is noteworthy that Sundar has become the third Indian cricketer to get ruled out after KL Rahul and Axar Patel. While KL Rahul has also sustained a hamstring injury during the second ODI against West Indies, Axar Patel is in his final stages of recovery from COVID 19.
Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has roped in Ruturaj Gaikwad, Deepak Hooda and Kuldeep Yadav as the replacements for the three injured players.
All three of them are with the Indian squad that has travelled to Kolkata and have begun their preparations.
