Vivo IPL 2021: West Indies Cricketers doubtful for Phase 2 of the Vivo IPL 2021.

Vivo IPL 2021: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on 29th May announced that the second leg of the Vivo IPL 2021 will be held in the UAE. A special General Meeting was held to have discussions with other office-bearers. The Indian board also said that they will initiate talks with their overseas counterparts to get a better idea about their players and availability.

Earlier, it was disclosed that the availability of Australian and English players is doubtful and are most likely to pull out of the elite premier league due to a jam-packed schedule. Now, according to some news outlets, the West Indies cricketers who will be participating in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) are also uncertain about their participation.

The second phase of the Vivo IPL 2021 will begin in the third week of September and the final of which will be held somewhere around mid of October.

According to the report of the Hindustan Times, it is impossible for the West Indies cricket board to prepone or postpone the CPL in this 11th hour. The IPL teams Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) also own CPL franchise Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and St Lucia Zouks respectively feels that in this wee time postponing the league will be tricky.

The Indian cricket board is having word with other cricket boards for the availability of players so that any call for replacement can be taken at the earliest.?

The Indian cricketers will leave England right after the completion of the India-England five games test series. A bubble to bubble transfer will be made in order to reduce extra quarantine time for players.

Before the start of the CPL, West Indies international schedule is packed where it will host Pakistan, South Africa and Australia for T20Is and ODI fixtures,

Players like Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shimron Hetmyre and others will be busy in their home assignment and their availability in the IPL 2021 remains in jeopardy.
