Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021: Former Indian cricketer and renowned commentator Aakash Chopra picks the most expensive player of IPL 2021 mini-auctions. The commentator is widely known for his witty comments and rhyming commentary in Hindi panel.
IPL 2021 mini-auctions are around the corner and the cricket pundits have started to play the guessing game with the players. Aakash Chopra is of the view that the Aussie pacer who pulled out of IPL 2020 is going to get a good price.
Talking about left-arm seamer Mitchell Starc, Chopra has a strong gut feeling that he will break the bubble to get the highest bid in the upcoming mini-auctions. The Aussie pacer till now featured in 27 IPL games and has successfully picked 34 scalps at an average of 20.38.
Chopra tweeted about the most expensive player but to everyone?s surprise, he did not include the English batsman Dawid Malan.
Malan who recently jumped to the number 1 position of the ICC T20I Batsmen Ranking was missing from the list of Aakash Chopra.
Aakash Chopra said, Mujeeb ur Rahman could attract a bid of nearly INR 7-8 crores while English opener Jason Roy is predicted to penetrate INR 4-6 crores.
The young Australian all-rounder Cameron Green who made his test debut in the recently concluded series against India is expected to bag INR 5-6 crores. New Zealand all-rounder who stole the limelight recently will be getting a solid interest of INR 5-7 crores, according to Aakash Chopra.
The former cricketer also said that Glenn Maxwell (Kings XI Punjab) and Nathan Coulter-Nile (Mumbai Indians) who were released bu their respective franchises will get a decent pick in the upcoming IPL 2021 mini-auctions.
Talking about the missing players, Aakash Chopra missed Steve Smith, Alex Carey along with Dawid Malan.
